Hey everyone

I've always been a dog person! In my younger years, my brother and I had a Jack Russel called Ben, a dalmatian called Oliver (lol) and a cross rottweiler-alsation called Sass. This was about 30 years or so ago.
As I work full time, I've never had a dog since then, and never really liked cats.

Last week I took home a 5 month old rescue kitten from the company I work for.
His name is Ziggy and he's completely won me over and changed my opinion on cats;

I was really weary of him at first, and he was of me. He can look so cute one moment, and terrifying the next!
He also really reminds me of the old space invaders monster on the sides of the arcade cabs:

We've become really close already and when he stares into my eyes it's like he can see deep into my soul!
He's slept on me every night for the last week or so, and wakes me up every morning;

I live on the coast and thought the sea rescue helicopter was out the other night, but it was Ziggy purring next to my face!

I've already spoiled him with beds and cat trees, he really loves this one;

When I get home from work I always look forward to seeing my 3 sons, but now I also look forward to seeing Ziggy, it's like we're best friends already;

I just wonder when will he start to use his own bed!

So yeah, I'm a changed man. It's a completely different connection compared to a dog, or maybe I'm just going soft in my old age

I'm not sure, he came with the name and I didn't want to change it.
My partner wanted to call him Salem and I said absolutely not!
