The Fort Hood shooter is scheduled to be executed by firing squad in December, and the Trump administration has stated it will be livestreamed.

In most countries, executions are not conducted publicly. Last year, only 2 countries allowed the general public to view executions.

Live streaming however is unprecedented. It remains unclear what streaming platform would agree to such an event. Lawyers suspect the decision will be challenged in court and that any such execution will be stayed well past Trump's term.

Prior to Trump's presidency, the US had not carried out any executions in nearly 2 decades.

This is the most barbaric thing I've seen this government do. Wars are one thing, televised firing squads like you're some dogshit Middle Eastern nation is another.

And we all know why they want to do this. He's Palestinian. They're desperate to show their loyalty to Israel that badly.

I don't care about a mass shooter getting executed, lol. You really don't deserve rights if you're a mass shooter. I'd prefer it be a wood chipper, slow speed, dull blades, feet first.

The execution isn't what's being discussed here. It's the public broadcasting of it.
