KytyPS5 emulator now shows Marvel's Wolverine cutscenes and gameplay

Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine has gone from simply booting to showing cinematics and gameplay in KytyPS5, the experimental PS5 emulator for PC. Progress was shown off in a post on X but the game is still obviously running at single digit frame rates.

Until now, KytyPS5 could boot the game and let you poke around its menus, but not you couldn't get much further than that. The latest build changes that, with both cutscenes and early gameplay running in the emulator. The X post that shows it also lists Ghost of Yotei as showing signs of life:

Ironic that Sony picked the absolute worst time to stop supporting PC

Anyways, I guess we'll see where things are in one month

KytyPS5 is still early in development, but has made huge strides recently in running commercial games. Marvel's Wolverine has also only been out for a few weeks but as you can see good progress is being made which is good news for those wanting to try it on PC as there is no version in the works now Sony has pulled away from publishing their first party titles there.

It is not the only PS5 emulator moving forward. The SharpEmu team recently got six of 55 tested games running at 60 FPS, with another six reaching gameplay at lower frame rates.

The Irony is thanks to AI we're getting loads of breakthrough in the homebrew scene like this where we can play PS5 games on PC, but AI is the reason we can't buy a PC parts..

It's also important that we realize we don't need to invest thousands into pc parts to enjoy emulation these days.

Okay, but what are the system requirements? I still remember people saying they needed an x3d CPU to even have enough grunt to run ps3 emulation properly, and PC hardware hasn't advanced THAT much beyond.
You don't get that PS3 emulation is HARDER than PS5 "emulation" because PS3 emulation requires translation of a completely different type of CPU architecture whereas the PS4 and PS5 (and Xbox One and Xbox Series S) are x86 CPU-driven consoles that are PCs with proprietary extensions. PS5 "emulation" will eventually be faster than PS5 on current PCs. It already is for some titles.

And PS3 emulation has run fine on non X3D CPUs for a long time now, by the way.
