It’s useful to have Codex work with GDB and sys-botbase for AI-assisted debugging. And it can even create tools for itself.
Yes, AI has gotten very smart very fast.
You can ask Breeze to generate function map and field map then ask AI to analyses it or you can analyses it yourself.
From Breeze you can search the generated map.
These maps will be place in breeze's game directory.
When you go to game information page the last few lines is a scan of what engine the game is.
You can ask your AI to study pcconnect.py then it can talk to Breeze directly

Thanks Tom for pcconnect. I just checked how it works, and it looks really useful for AI-assisted debugging and tooling, especially with remote memory access and Breeze control. This could open up some interesting ways for Codex/AI agents to inspect and interact with the Switch more directly.

Nice job.

I'm back—just looking around for anything that could help with AI :)
Nice that you are back...
In the meantime I tried to understand and tried to improve also your UE script by the help of AI with decent success... hope that is okay for you, I gave you big credit :)
At the end I lacked of knowledge otherwise the AI would be more helpful in the Unreal Engine World and I did a lot of loops.

GPT recently built an IDA Pro script for me, and the results have been impressive. It uses metadata.dat to locate MetadataRegistration without pointer scanning.

For build 479484B06E00DA12, it successfully recovered 15,625 classes and 106,890 methods, including class structures, method names, and field names.

I thought I'd share the code in case any part of it might be useful for your work, particularly the MetadataRegistration and Klass discovery approach. Hope it helps!

Updated. Redownload the .py files if you have the old version.
This version has a drop-down menu on the right panel. It will create the game directory on your PC if it doesn't already exist. Use the Base Folder button to specify where the PC directories should be created.

Is it like a save state behaviour? So you can continue where you made the save snapshot?

No, it saves your save. Some games will screw you over when you die. Your save will record that you died, and the save from when you were alive is gone once you die. Or sometimes they will steal your coins and update your save.

Save game state is something even an emulator can't do with unlimited memory.

Please review olliz0r/sys-botbase and investigate whether its game screen capture and controller input features can be ported to Breeze.

Since AI agents already have access to GDBstub, they primarily rely on sys-botbase for these two functions. Integrating them directly into Breeze could improve performance, particularly when searching for in-game information.

Is there a way to prevent the cheats from being enabled when the game starts? It always causes crashes on my system because the game starts with everything enabled, or random cheats from the file are on when it starts that may not have been on when it crashed. I might also have things I've noted in the file, and am trying to update from a previous version that switch on & cause game to crash on boot as well. Deleting the toggles doesn't help because then that'll cause everything to be on when game starts. I've tried adding and removing the semicolon in the config file, but nothing has worked. I want them toggled off all the time until I enable them even if a toggle file exists. That hasn't worked for a while now.

Try holding L while launching the game to prevent cheats from being loaded. Alternatively, you can temporarily remove the cheat files from your SD card to see if the game starts without crashing.

PC Connect already displays the game screen, but you need to be running in overlay mode. Install the HOME daemon from the Settings menu. Without the HOME daemon (forked from SwitchU), Breeze won't be running while the game is running.

My HOME daemon supports launching games through homebrew. All the games I've tested so far works with the latest version. I've only tested Sphaira and DBI myself.

From Breeze's main menu, exit to hbmenu, or go directly to Sphaira if you have it installed in the usual location.

This is a great solution!

One of the biggest problems I’ve had with sys-botbase is that it frequently loses connection and creates a virtual Joy-Con, with no proper control over which player slot (P1/P2/P3/P4) it occupies. This is particularly troublesome because many games require input specifically from Player 1.

I noticed you've added a new button that allows PC input to take over Player 1, moving the physical controller to Player 2. Disabling Game Input then restores the original controller assignment.

This is exactly what I needed! It solves the controller assignment problem I've been struggling with in sys-botbase. Thanks for the excellent improvement!

Before you do something foolish you used to need to exit the game, backup your save, load the game and then do that foolish thing.

You still need to stop the game, restore backup save, restart the game.

Check this file configurations on your NS SD card with DBI
MTP device, this computre\Switch\1: SD Card\atmosphere\config\system_settings.ini
check the two options:

dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x0
dmnt_always_save_cheat_toggles = u8!0x0

set the above options like this. This will enable cheat by youself only via breeze, breezehand overlay...

You're right. I've experienced the same issue myself.

Cheat files are often quite large, and many cheats modify memory directly rather than simply patching ASM instructions in the game's main executable.

If cheats are automatically applied when the game starts, some libraries or memory regions may not have been fully loaded or initialized yet, which can cause the game to crash. This is especially common because cheat codes typically write directly to memory without checking whether the target pointers or addresses are valid.

The most effective solution is to disable automatic cheat loading at startup, or simply hold down the L button while launching the game to prevent cheats from being activated automatically.

When i rename the cheat file to prevent anything from being able to load at all, the game no longer crashes anywhere. my config file is set like Pspmaster advised, but that hasn't ever stopped the issue. Holding the L button while the game starts up was the solution, though, so THANKS VERY MUCH!! I guess i expected it to be more difficult than what it was to fix..haha

Point Memory Explorer at a value through a pointer chain and Breeze writes the cheat for you:

- One value, or every element of an array in a single loop cheat: all enemies, all party members, all inventory slots.
- Write always, only where the value is higher (enemies drop to 1 HP once and still die to your hit), only where it is lower (an HP floor), or copy another field (HP = max HP).
- The screen names each step of the chain and lists every element with its current value, so you see what will be written before you make the cheat.
- For Unity lists and arrays the cheat reads the list's own size from the game, so it follows enemies as they come and go.

Also fixed: a crash in the secondary search on candidates saved from the Unity menu.

Tried on a Unity game so far. Unreal arrays and 32-bit games are untested; reports welcome.

It answers a question that used to take a lot of guessing: of all the fields in this object, which ones does the game actually use? Breeze watches the whole object at once and lists each field the first time the game reads or writes it.
