Hi, I have a hacked Nintendo Switch running firmware version 23 and Atmosphere. It is partitioned into two parts: Stock and Custom Firmware (CFW). The CFW partition has always been kept in airplane mode and has never connected to the internet.

I want to install and test apps that require internet access, such as PiPSX, Nextendo, and Moonlight.

Can I connect the console to the internet to use these apps? Will I get banned?

The account on my Switch 1 is my personal Nintendo account; it is the same one I use on my Switch 2, so I really don't want that account to get banned.
Could you tell me if there is a risk of a ban? How can I use these apps without risking a ban on the account that would affect my Switch 2?

Many thanks to everyone.
Regards.

Have you ever installed a pirated game (NSP) on your CFW Switch1? If so then yes it will get banned if connected to the internet. My not be instantaneous, but will happen eventually. The ban will only effect the console from playing online games, or getting game updates, it will not ban your account, just the Switch1 console itself. So your NIN account on Switch2 should remain uneffected.

Thanks a lot for the reply, friend.
Hi. Yes, I’ve installed .NSP and .XCI files on my Switch console and played those games, but never online; I’ve ALWAYS kept the console in airplane mode using the "magic partition."
Based on what you’re saying, I wouldn't mind if the console itself got banned; my fear is having my Nintendo account banned and losing all the original digital games I’ve purchased.
If the console gets banned, can I still play .NSP games?
If the console gets banned, can I still connect to Wi-Fi and use the apps I mentioned in the thread title? I’m particularly interested in Moonlight.
My main concern regarding this whole process is whether it might affect the Nintendo Switch 2 and my Nintendo account.
Thanks a lot.
Regards.

Even if kept offline, the Switch stores info/ telemetary and once it goes online, it will trigger the ban.
I'm not sure if those apps will still work once you are banned, as i dont use any those apps personally.
Yes, if console is banned, NSP/ all games will still play, just no online/ multiplayer access.
The ban will only ban the console, not your NIN account. The only time you get a account ban is when you try use stolen credit card/ fraud, or cheat the store's monetary system somehow.
