Hacking Speculations about Switch 2 hacking

There is a reason we are not putting out any news, we can't risk any sort of vulnerability from reaching Nintendo. Some of you have noted that like the ps4/ps5 the kernel can be exploited, this was due to the ps4 and ps5 running UNIX (like linux) and exposing tons of functions to userland. Horizon OS microkernel by contrast is built from the ground up and as a result is exceptionally small, the amount of functions exposed to userland is MUCH smaller, thus reducing something called the attack surface. Currently the hacking scene is seperated into different groups that focus on different areas of hacking. Some of us try to escelate privelages using the userland exploit that Gezine found, some of us try to exploit the security hypervisor, some of us are trying different types of voltage glitching (which is the area im in). The hidden hacking scene is scarce of "big wins" and full of "little wins". Whatever wins we get are closely guarded untill research and exploits are fully mature.

Thank you very very much for your message. It's very difficult to read news about progress in Switch 2 scene and knowing that there are people fully working on it is very encouraging. Really thanks.

There's hasn't been any "little wins". The userland exploits are the same as the Switch 1 ones.

Every software "exploit" (and I really mean the "") are the same from almost a decade ago...

show some evidence you actually know something rather than trying to make people feel bad as a hobby, trying to make people feel good and people don't need evidence, that is human nature

It's not making people feel bad, it's being realistic. False hope isn't about making people feel good

Hope is a good thing. What’s the harm in that? If holding onto an unopened box with a Switch 2 inside makes someone feel good, then so be it—unless they commit a crime to do it.

Yeah. Because there isn't any. None. No little victories. Just big failures and the 3 or 4 people who might have been capable had the Switch 2 been hackable throwing their hands up and giving up and moving on with their lives.

It is hilarious seeing "Elite Hackerz" (and I really mean the "") coming here and speaking of a super-secret hackosphere where all kinds of progress is being made, but they can't share it with you because Nintendo. The Switch 2 hacking scene isn't dead. It was never born to begin with. Literally nothing has happened, is happening, or will happen. But keep listening to the preachers tell you about the afterlife and their mythical gods if that makes you feel better about your hobby. Reality is not for everyone. 😭
