The welcome vanelope code used to open up the ability to do seasonal events & get the different seasonal items offline prior to 1.24.1, but once I obtain vanelope, I don't get access to the seasonal events anymore. Switch still says I need to go online. I never go online on my switch, so events wouldn't have ever worked because I connected to the Internet. Is this something that can be fixed in the code again, or is this something I need to keep tinkering with to figure out what is wrong? I'm not opposed to that. Just wondering if you had any ideas about it.

I also have some issues with the pick up to max code. I realize that the issue could be that the code is making the game panic because it knows there are too many items in play, but after about 5 minutes of picking up to max the various things I don't already have (but only 1 stack of each items I don't already have to put in my storage) I can no longer drop to pick the stack back up, sell them, or pick up newly mined, or harvested items if it happens when I'm doing that stuff. Once game is restarted, it's normal again for a little while. I do even try dropping the max stacks and picking them up again normally so that game recognizes I did pick up 50 or 99 items, but that doesn't always work for very long either before I can no longer drop anything again. Have you ever experienced this? it's hard to explain what's going on, so I hope you understand without too much confusion.

Neither of the issues bother me. I just thought it was weird to have these happenings. I think the item issue could mostly be something to do with that limit in game. Some sort of overflow.... It has been happening for quite a while. For the events not opening up offline when vanelope comes to the village, I've started searching for differences in old & new saves.
What exactly do you mean by “seasonal events”? Please give a few specific examples, including the event names, quests or duties, and the seasonal items you were able to get. I’d also like to know exactly how you used Welcome Vanellope with those events. Did you track an event quest and then enable the code? Which objective did it complete, and what became available afterward?

The code only force-completes certain objectives in the currently tracked mission: opening a specific menu, or submitting a DreamSnaps entry. It doesn’t directly unlock events, so I wasn’t aware it had ever affected seasonal content.

As far as I know, the limited-time features that actually require an online connection are Star Paths and DreamSnaps. Most other seasonal events can be accessed by changing the system date. However, if you already obtained their rewards with a GetAll code, the related event quests may no longer appear. Anyone who wants to play those events normally should avoid using GetAll codes too early.

I also checked R PickupToMax. It uses the game’s own stack limit and normal AddItem processing, so I don’t see an overflow or obvious problem in the code itself. DDV can lose sync between the inventory, UI, and field objects on Switch even without cheats, which can prevent picking up, dropping, or selling until the game is restarted. PickupToMax may make it happen sooner, but it doesn’t appear to directly corrupt the inventory.

Hello, thanks for your explanations on unlocking the DLCs. I have another question: how can I unlock Vanellope to bypass her Dreamsnap mission without an internet connection!? Thanks a lot

For Vanellope, the cheat code WelcomeVanellope was made exactly for offline players. Just enable the code and track her welcome quest. By tracking it, the code automatically forces the online-only objectives ("Open the DreamSnaps Menu" and "Submit a photo to DreamSnaps") to clear. I usually play online and already have her unlocked, so I haven't tested this myself. If you run into any issues, please reply with the details so I can look into it.

Also, if the code works for you, I'd really appreciate a Like on the main post on the front page. It’s a small thing, but that single tap shows me how many people actually use these codes and keeps me motivated.

hello, I successfully installed the latest update with Raph and the "Welcome Vanellope" code is activated, but nothing happens when I follow Vanellope's quest. Maybe I forgot to do something!?

Just to clarify, this code only triggers on specific objectives. It won't do anything unless you're actually on the "Open the DreamSnaps Menu" or "Submit a photo to DreamSnaps" step. If you are at those exact steps, have the code enabled, track the quest, and nothing happens, then the code might be broken and I'll need to look into it. Could you give me a bit more detail on exactly which step of the quest you are currently on?

When I take my photo, the "Send to DreamSnap" option doesn't appear because I don't have an internet connection; when I go to the "Events" section, the DreamSnap menu doesn't show up either, although the event starting in 4 days does appear.

You don't actually need to open the DreamSnaps menu or submit a photo. When your quest is on those specific steps, just enable the WelcomeVanellope code, open your Quest tab, and track her quest. The moment you track it, those steps should automatically skip to the next one if the code is working.

Could you clarify a few things for me?
  1. What exact step of the quest are you on right now?
  2. Exactly how did you use the code when nothing happened?
  3. Just in case, did you edit your save data at all regarding this quest?

I've already started looking into the code on my end, but if your reply confirms that the code is definitely broken, I'll go ahead and test it myself in an offline environment.

I placed the file at `sd:/atmosphere/contents/0100D39012C1A000/cheats/BID.txt` using the correct BID number. In EdiZon, I can see the "WelcomeVanellope" cheat set to "On"—in fact, all the codes are set to "On." Could that be causing an issue? For the "Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust" mission, I'm at the point where it asks me to open the DreamSnaps submission menu. I tried turning the cheat off, doing another quest, and then switching back to Vanellope's quest, but nothing changes. On this profile, I haven't modified my save file for the DLC.

It sounds like you're using the code correctly. Having all cheats set to "On" shouldn't be an issue since WelcomeVanellope doesn't conflict with the others, as long as you can toggle them individually. However, just setting the cheat to "On" won't do anything on its own. You must track the quest while the code is active. Try opening your Quest tab and tracking/untracking the quest a few times with the cheat enabled. If it still doesn't work after doing that, then the code itself is likely broken. I've already started a new save file to test this offline myself, so I'll report back with the results once I reach that point.

Thank you; I look forward to hearing back from you.If needed, my Switch is in FW :22.5.0 and Atm 1.11.2

I tested this in an offline environment, and the WelcomeVanellope code worked as intended.

First, confirm your quest is on the step "Open the DreamSnaps Submission menu."

Open the menu with the [+] button and navigate to the Quests tab. With the cheat enabled, track the "FAITH, TRUST, AND PIXEL DUST" quest. If it is already tracked, you must untrack it, then track it again.

Close the menu. The online requirement will be skipped, and the quest will advance to "Talk to Vanellope".

The process is the same for the step "Complete your first DreamSnaps Challenge!".

Open the Quests tab, untrack the quest, and track it again.

This step will also be bypassed. You can then talk to her in the castle and eventually place her house in the Valley.
