Ocarina of Time 3D gets huge mod to enable single-screen play

Ocarina of Time is back in style as the upcoming Switch 2 remake looms on the horizon. But what's a fan of the game to do over the next few months? If you've been fancying a replay of the landmark title and have been going between which version to pick up, this new mod might just turn you towards the 3DS version. Released a few days ago, the Single Screen Experience mod does what it says on the tin, migrating the game's UI to the top screen.

Though this mod is aimed at those playing via emulation, with it making the game much more approachable on more traditional handhelds, it is entirely compatible with original hardware. On top of the UI elements being moved to the top screen, the mod also makes use of the D-Pad, ZL, and ZR buttons for item mapping. Not to mention enabling the right stick for a free camera much like what we saw in Majora's Mask 3D.

What a useless mod! It's like modding Wii Sports so it can be played on a GameCube controller by couch potatos. It's a 3D, dual screen game meant for unique hardware. This just turns a great game and a unique experience into a run-of-the-mill Zelda hack.
Would you feel the same about a mod that made Wii Sports playable with a GameCube controller so disabled people could enjoy it, but was fundamentally the same mod as the one for "couch potatos"

This is useless for my uses but I bet it will be of use for someone else

What a stupid thing to say.
