Hello all, I’m writing this post because I have two issues regarding my modded switch. Whilst some threads deal with the issue(s) I’m facing, I’m kinda stuck right know.

A few things:

-I’m almost completely new to modding, got my mariko switch chipped earlier this year and modded my 3ds last years, that’s pretty much all.

-English is not my mother tongue, and considering I’m new to the modding world, I sometimes struggle with terminologies I’m not familiar with.

Basically : I was kinda uncareful/irresponsible cause I downloaded from a homebrew (can’t remember which one) the latest OFW ( 22.1) whilst completely forgetting about the fact that the atmosphere/hekate on my switch were not made for this version. When I tried to boot my switch of CFW EMUMMC I got an error screen displayed. I tried to solve my situation out downloading the latest atmosphere/hekate/sigpatches an « sorting » them on my sd but to no avail.
Here comes the second problem I have, I modded my switch to put mods on Skyrim -don’t judge- using the layeredfs method with the help of a IA chatbot but it didn’t work. Long story short, my sd card is an unorganized mess. Also, my computer is a Mac, so I have these weird doublons of every folder that deep seek told me were benign.

I’m not sure what I should do: should I tried to « reset » my switch? I didn’t do much on CFW and don’t have any valuable save whatsoever.
I don’t really know why I didn’t manage to update atmosphere since on GitHub it specifies it’s compatible with the latest off ( perhaps I’m mistaken?) I’m sort of lost.
Would anybody have some recommendations for me? I can provide screen shots etc…

Again sorry for this post but I didn’t manage to get my back to a functioning CFW despite all the threads on the site. :(
Thanks in advance

Don't know when you updated but Atmosphere is now supporting 22.1.0 :
https://github.com/atmosphere-nx/atmosphere/releases
Because the original developer quit, it took some while for someone else to take over.

No need to reset your Switch because that probably won't fix anything.
Move all the files and folders on your SD card to a temporary folder, except the Nintendo folder.
If you use a file based emummc, then also keep the emummc folder.
Don't delete the folder as you might need some info from the old config files.

You can download an all-in-one package with Atmospher/Hekate and a whole bunch of homebrew apps here :
https://github.com/sthetix/HATS/releases
Extract the zip archive and move it to your SD card.
You should see folders like 'bootloader', 'switch', and 'atmosphere' in the root of your SD card.
It has all the config files for a standard setup so if you didn't do a very custom install, it should work out of the box.

You willneed to add back your Skyrim mods but try doing that once you get everything up and running again.
Once everything is up and running, just make a backup of your SD card so that you can put that back in case something gets messed up.

If you are on a Mac, sometimes the archive bit gets set on all the files/folder.
The Switch OS won't boot in that case but you should be able to boot Hekate.
There is a utility in the Tools section to fix the archive bit.
