He resigned from his seat as MP, so that he can run for his seat as MP.
There is an active investigation into his dodgy finances right now and he wants to rerun an election for no reason, in his incredibly safe constituency, so he can say "look, The People voted for me, I have a mandate, stop investigating me".
All the major parties have recognised this is stupid and are not participating. Which means there is a non-zero chance that the anti-Reform vote could unite behind Count Binface. He has pledged to build at least one affordable house, and can identify where Clacton is on a map.
In honour of my role as a compromised political shill on this site, I fully endorse the Count and will be adopting a political profile picture of him.
