Today is an incredible day to be a Tamer! The long awaited exit from early access to 1.0 has finally come to an end! Today, Palworld 1.0 is out and it has a massive patch note! Including 72 new pals, new bosses, more NPCs, and countless revised/new features!
Although you don’t have to delete your save file, the team does suggest doing so for the best experience of the game!

So I just had a look at the steam page and saw a suggestion for the spin-off game "More Than Just Pals"...

Can someone explain to me if this is an actual thing? I thought this was just an April Fool's joke a few years ago...

Honestly, I'd say it's still a joke. A means for advertising their main entry. Same goes for Palfarm. My understanding is that Steam allows this sort of listing.

So what's the SP actually like?

For comparison, I've been enjoying Pokemon ZA so far despite it's repetitiveness, having not played Pokémon since Fire Red, so I kind of like the idea of 'Pokemon but I'm an arsehole trainer'.

To be clear, I don't care at all for MP.

he said, forgetting that they gutted mechanics that have to be modded back in because of said lawsuit (and redesigned the pals that people online kept complaining about just to shut them up to boot)
still they survived even in Japanese court i count that as a W

Making compromises to ensure the future of your business, game, etc. is not bending the knee. One could argue that making these changes during early development is the entire purpose of releasing a game in the early stages.
I would like to add, that there is a wider discussion on the fact that Nintendo is patient trolling and the only reason they removed these features is to ensure the game came out first and worry about the lawsuit later. There’s a non-zero chance once the lawsuit is done, they can just add many of the removed features. Especially since Nintendo’s patents are dog shit anyways.

Plans on making a romantic visual novel of sorts. It was announced for April Fools but so far we haven't even seen an expected date of release yet. I'm surprised Steam hasn't removed it.
