I've spent the past 2 days troubleshooting an issue with my external HDD not being recognized. The Nintendont app can see the device, all its gamecube games, and play them no problem! However, my USB Loader GX and WiiFlow never pick up the external HDD. They only see my SD card.

I modded my wii for the first time last weekend using https://wii.hacks.guide/ and ModMii. Running everything off my SD card works great!

I then tried adding an external HDD. It's a spare M2 SSD (WD Black PCIe Gen3x4 NVME 256GB), inside this UGREEN USB enclosure. The drive is properly formatted (MBR, FAT) and I used TinyWiiBackupManager to load all my games onto it without any issues. I'm plugging the drive into USB Port 0 on the Wii, and powering the drive with a powered USB hub. The attached zip has my syscheck csv output.

Nintendont works great!
USB Loader GX only sees the SD card, no matter what settings I change in the app's Loader / Drive settings

If it weren't for the fact that the Nintendont app is able to see the drive and play the games, I would just assume the drive is incompatible with the Wii. I've already spent more than I should've on accessories for this little wii mod project so I'm looking to avoid buying a new drive if possible.

Any further ideas?
