I didn't expect this to happen this year but here we are.

The timing seems significant, with game preservation a hot topic this year. I wonder if there will be a community preservation effort like there was with Dragalia Lost.

I never got into the game as the early release was too easy. I gave it another go today it's quite different to what I remember. It seems better now. The controls are a bit more sensitive than I'd like on defaults but I'm guessing they can be changed.

What do people here think of Mario Kart Tour in its final form?

I played the game since the beginning. As a casual game is actually very fun to play. I only play it occasionally in short sessions and neve spent a cent on it.

Its actually one of the very few mobile games that i play when i'm waiting on a doctors office or something similar. I'm sad its going to be shut down :(.

One of the things i was impressed was the graphics, when it came out. They were very similar to Mario Kart 8, bright, colorful and all around good looking.
The control was/is so simple and it works very well.

Online was also fun, but i didn't play a much in that mode.

Is Mario Kart adapted to a touch screen. Its fun and i will miss it.

I stopped playing this years ago as it got so boring and the online matches felt like it was just a bunch of bots than real people.

So after it's discontinued... Offline Mode? 😅

RIP everyone who spent money on it. I thought it might go on forever, like these gacha games tend to. I had my fun with it, never spent more than maybe 10 bucks on it which I think the game is worth. Maybe they'll come out with a sequel.

No offline mode is planned. Nintendo is just going to euthanize it so the only way it will exist is in memories and videos

This is why I don't invest into online only games. Learned my lesson with the utterly fantastic Dragalia Lost from them. Such a stunningly well written set of characters and intertwining stories, and they nuked it. Many fans were hurt and pissed enough to recreate the network and keep the existing game alive to play on hacked IOS devices and android which says a lot. I just bailed on it, saw it all, so it would get boring.
