An overlay music player that could cast music files from another storage system (via the same network, or the cloud, anything) and play them just as sys-tune does, while we play a game. I don't know if the RAM restraints would let us have it...

People usually ask for apps to stream from Spotify and youtube, but these are all a complicated mess to implement and even worse to maintain.

I don't like to clutter my SD card with mp3 files, so streaming them from my PC or phone and listening to them on the switch as I'm gaming would be :yayswitch::yayswitch::yayswitch:

We've had a couple of Android games running on Switch using a wrapper (Max Payne, more recently Bully). I saw this project to run the raspberry pi version of Pico-8 on Android using a wrapper, and wondered whether that wrapper could be wrapped as above to run on Switch. Double wrapper.

https://github.com/Macs75/pico8-android

It's 64 bit, as is required for the Switch wrapping.

The source for the actual binary wrapping (mentioned as "bootstrap" in the readme) doesn't seem to be available, otherwise maybe it could have been ported directly rather than re-wrapped.

I know we have a port of an unofficial Pico-8 player for Switch homebrew, but there are compatibility and feature (splore to browse carts online) advantages to using the official binary.

is there a text overlay or walktrough from gamefaqs to make overlay using ultrahand overlay?

There was a text overlay, but it was abandoned and doesn't work anymore on newer FWs.
I forked and updated it to use Ultrahand and support current FWs: https://github.com/timschneeb/TextReaderOverlay-NX

okey i tested it and i think the bookmark and favorite are not working properly i mean is working when you use it but is not saving when you exit the text file. bookmark for long walktrough is very important in this overlay. hope it will fix someday.

i'm really kind of shocked more than anything that in this day and age we don't have a twitch viewing app for switch...

It is completely possible to make this, there is still enough ram, Triplayer and systune both used a lookup table to store literal thousands of songs in the sysmodule for only ~256kb, theoritically you just have to make a seperate lookup table for your network drive or something but expect alot of delay. I'm currently working on something to replace sys-tune and eventually triplayer. Spotify is out of the question and sadly youtube music as well. number one Spotify hands out decryption keys to specific developers, number 2 google would come knocking on my door. HOWEVER, if you really want spotify or youtube music we could make a pc program that captures the audio and send it to the switch
