Much better than what's currently out there, but sys-patch isn't strictly necessary to play games so some may think of it as bloat.

I'm pretty sure it's fully necessary both to install homebrew on the home screen and to ... well, sailing

no strictly necessary for legal acquired games, but is needed even for your legal games but dumped as a backup.
