Is there a way to inject a Wii game and use a save file from vWii (wbfs)? (I'd like to inject Wii games I'm mid-way throught because I'd prefer to play with the Gamepad, but if I can avoid starting from scratch, I'd gladly appreciate it!)

The saves for Wii games are always on the vWii NAND regardless of how you are playing the game (disc, wbfs file on a USB Loader, VC Inject). So you don't need to do anything. The save is already on the NAND ready to be used.
