Hey everybody!

I'm extremely new to decomp but i've always been interested in it, however I never learned code. Enter Claude Code, which I've been using for a while and decided to see what we could do since AI has been extremely helpful in rewriting codebases. Well after a few days of testing and tuning, I now have a working pipeline that is chugging along decompiling mario 64 ds. So far we've got 2% shifted to C and we're still going.

All this to say, any amount of help and computing power people want to donate would help the project extrememely as the only bottleneck is usage restrictions and time. I have a public repo ya'll can browse to to see whats been commited so far and see the pipeline.

Good luck, why did you choose this game?
Somebodys gotta do it. And cause this game already has some symbols found by other people so it wasnt a blind shot when I started.
What claude model and effort level are you using so people can help consistently.
4.8 Low

5 Hours later and some exciting news. A massive bulk was sorted through tonight and we are up to 30%! The pinned github repo will be updated shortly! Please star and get the word out if you know anyone who wants to help it would be amazing if we got this done in less then 2 weeks as I think that might be revolutionary for the decomp scene

To be honest, I don’t really like the fact that you did it with AI (it makes your project less impressive and professional), but hey... why do i care? It’s still so cool to actually have someone decompiling the DS version of SM64, im pretty sure i will mod the game code when the decomp will be complete, keep going :3
