It's that time again. Batten down the hatches and ride out the storm, because we've got another Switch update! And Switch 2, but that's somewhat less impactful given the lack of custom firmware available. This one actually does something different depending on the platform, with the original Switch focusing on the eShop, and the Switch 2 adding features for the Dutch and Russian languages. Full patch notes can be found below.

Nintendo Switch Ver. 22.5.0
  • The Nintendo eShop layout has been redesigned
    • The Nintendo eShop color will now reflect the theme color if your theme in System Settings is set to “Basic Dark”
  • User-Verification PIN can now be used to confirm when “Accessing Nintendo eShop” and “Using Saved Payment Methods”
  • Added the ability to rewind 10 seconds/advance 10 seconds with the ZL and ZR Buttons when watching a full screen video in News or Nintendo eShop
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience
Nintendo Switch 2 Ver. 22.5.0
  • Added Dutch and Russian to “Text to Speech” languages in Accessibility
  • Added Dutch and Russian as languages for “Change Speech ⇔ Text During GameChat” in Accessibility
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience
As always we advise those running homebrew to avoid the update until Atmosphere has been updated to work.

For once, an update actually does make things more stable. The eShop is finally usable on the Switch and it only took them 9 years!

It's now an actual app instead of a crappy website

Took them 9 years to turn the damn thing into a proper applet, it's about time... I don't really buy Nintendo stuff anymore but it's nice for the people who do, they can actually have a functional tool for that.

it took them 9 years to figure out how to make an APP other TABLETS back than had a proper app interface. they are so backward and behind in tech it's just laughable now :rofl2:
