The developers of the malware also seem to be racist, as it has a chance of wiping your hard drive if you are in Israel.

Yes and no. If anyone ran the affected version (and creator forbid any dev of any project did that) the excretion is going to hit the ventilator hard. The attack was apparently mainly aimed at stealing github etc. user credentials with also "nuking" of Israeli users as an additional, but not main payload.

"and run rm -rf /"

Doesn't rm now require "--no-preserve-root" to erase root?

I wonder how long before we see 'AV for Linux' become the norm? Especially in the era of supply chain attacks.

Slightly off topic, the lack of a scheduled incremental backup software like you get on Windows is annoying, the most (reliable) solutions I've found either requires a reboot or is really meant for just user data.

So basically a Russian who is anti-Jewish....effectively a Nazi
Or maybe just a Russian who doesn't appreciate genocidal maniacs like Netanyahu and his Likud party....effectively a compasionate human being.

Contributer responsible for this might not have liked the Wii U, me thinks.
Did anyone?
