What do you want to see in the next Nintendo Direct?

iwata_direct.jpg

With rumours circulating about a Nintendo Direct in the coming days and weeks, fans are left speculating and hoping as to what might be included. At the centre of all of this is the fabled remake of Ocarina of Time, but there are also plenty other games that have previously been announced that we haven't heard much about. Games like Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Pokemon Winds and Waves, and The Duskbloods.

For those of you who already have a Switch 2, what games are you chomping at the bit to know more about? And for those who don't, what games would tip the scales to make you want to pick up the system? Let us know your thoughts below!

What do i expect to see: Pokemon, NSO stuff, a bit more about the "new" star fox game.
What do I want to see: Consumer friendly actions.

Paper Zelda RPG (with potential for future crossover with paper Mario)

My brother in gaming, Nintendo only remakes or remasters the same game twice if it's a staple, OoT is not a staple, it is however a masterpiece.
Starfox
Donkey Kong Country Returns

Exploits but that's not going to happen I assume ;)
GTA 6 for Switch 2 announcement would be crazy. But as others stated, a price drop would be nice, or some special edition Switches 2. Like the funtastic colors or a nice retro colorway, like the SNES for example.

I only care about games. Actual reasons for the Switch 2 purchase not being a waste.

  1. Super Mario Galaxy 3 (!!!)
  2. Mario Kart World 200 ccm update
  3. Ocarina of Time Remake/Remaster
  4. Majora's Mask Remake/Remaster (because why not?)
  5. New F-Zero
  6. New Wave Race
  7. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (better netcode, even more fighters/stages, 4K/HDR)
  8. How about a real 3D Wario platformer?
  9. Mario Sports Mix 2 (it was a great Wii game, although from Square Enix)

I would say, it is really hard to tell what I actually want, what actually would burst me into happiness and a hype. It is far easier to be offended.

I want a new traditional 3d zelda, the idea of oot remake, just feels wrong. It would only work for me if they go the ff7 round and do a full reimignation and include mm and more in the same game.

Remake of Oracle games would be great.

Any new game of existing franchise which wasn't touched for a long time. F-zero, 2d dk, kid icarus, earthbound, sin & punishment.

I want to see new exclusives or a new IP. I want to see them use their "variable pricing" in a way that is actually GOOD for US.

Oh, Millennium Kitchen is making an eshop exclusive spiritual sequel to Attack of the Friday Monsters for $9.99. Oh, Intelligent Systems is making a true next-gen Pushmo game for $15.99. Oh, someone's making Pokemon Conquest 2. Oh, Nintendo EPD is making a completely new IP, a single-screen arcade game series, a 2D Gameboy-style roguelike, a dungeon crawler deckbuilder in the Zelda universe, an anything.

I don't really care so long as it's exclusive, creative, and not $60+.

If it's another bloated sequel to the current franchise trajectories, whatever. It's expected. But if it's another full-priced version of another game from 20+ years ago, I 👏do👏not👏care. And I 👏will👏not👏buy👏it.

GTA VI on the Switch 2 running at 25fps?

I'd like to see Rockstar porting GTA V to the Switch 2 with the best graphics it can handle and at 60fps. Just to see how it'd play on it.
