What do you want to see in the next Nintendo Direct?

With rumours circulating about a Nintendo Direct in the coming days and weeks, fans are left speculating and hoping as to what might be included. At the centre of all of this is the fabled remake of Ocarina of Time, but there are also plenty other games that have previously been announced that we haven't heard much about. Games like Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Pokemon Winds and Waves, and The Duskbloods.

For those of you who already have a Switch 2, what games are you chomping at the bit to know more about? And for those who don't, what games would tip the scales to make you want to pick up the system? Let us know your thoughts below!

What do I want to see? "We've decided not to increase Switch 2 prices. Also we're adding a developer mode toggle to the retain systems. Also AI is dead, cheap RAM and GPUs for everyone!"

What I expect: maybe something about the upcoming pokemon game. Maybe something about zelda or mario (new or remakes). Definitely some more about that umpteenth starfox remake.

As an addendum: "Also, we will be bringing back online services for all of our previous consoles, will be abolishing Nintendo Switch Online and all related services are now free, will give one free first-party or second-party game of the player's choice a month every month, will be doing reruns of all previous hardware and their games for perpetuity, and will be finally releasing Mother 3 outside of Japan. Also, we will be abolishing our legal department immediately; no more suing pirates or modders. We also won't be doing dumbass PR decisions like breaking up unsanctioned tournaments and not fixing Joy-Con drift in the Switch Lite or later Switch models depite an obvious easy fix, public backlash, and lawsuits. Finally, we will be partnering with Steam to bring every game ever made on all of our devices to PC gamers everywhere, DRM-free! All games on Steam are only one dollar (or the country's equivalent of one dollar in terms of currency units; not the same as a market value conversion; looking at you, Brazil. You're welcome.)"

Nintendo Directs are simply NOT the same without Iwata and Reggie... that said, I honestly want to see two things, whenever they might happen!

- Ocarina of Time Renastered: For the love of god, make it realistic, not cell shaded!
- Smash Bros 6

A big Zelda game. No big Zelda game? No need for me to start to think about potentially saving to maybe get a switch 2.

(No games = no need for the console. And as of now, there are no game worthy enough for me to even think that getting a Switch 2 is a good idea)

I've got a switch 2, but it's mostly a couch co-op machine for daughter and me. So here's my wishlist:

* Captain Toad 2
* Kirby epic yarn remake
* Minecraft mario...Mariocraft? I'll settle for roblox if I have to
* Just dance compilation with the songs from all games until now (I have no idea to what she'll dance, so...kitchen sink, please :P )
* Luigi's mansion 4
* super Mario friendslop
* oh, and a remake for Oracle of seasons and/or ages.


btw...why are we getting Iwata's photo? I liked the guy, but he's not coming back due to not being alive anymore. With all the remakes and remasters in the industry, I'm drawing the line at "video games", thanks. I really don't need a zombie Iwata...

I would love to get a remake for the Capcom Zeldas

My guess is Nintendo doesn't do it because they would have to pay Camcom and it's cheaper to remake a game they have the full rights to
 
I hate my Switch 2.

-Zelda 2 sequel or re-imagining
-$10 Metroid Pinball game with tate mode
-Mario 35 returns as a full-ass game with more modes and features.
-F-Zero anything
-Kid Icarus Uprising playable edition
-PC Engine NSO + Controller

I will buy any of these pls
 
I'd like a new Zelda game and a new Super Mario game. I don't have a Nintendo Switch 2 and never will, because it's underpowered like the original Switch. Hello PS5/PC!

Would love a OoT remake but also love a remake of the Oracle games.
 
There's no need to beat around the bushes, Nintendo is in a dire situation, what with few people buying and lots of people tearing them new assholes thanks to Pocketpair paving the way. They'll need to release some things their fans actually want, if they want to get out of this situation.

So, their best way to get out of the situation would be by milking the old guard again. Re-releasing old Mario, Zelda and Pokémon games. Making more paid old games like they did with Fire Red and Leaf Green. A batch of remakes of popular games like Mario 64 or Zelda OoT. And maybe, if they have the guts to, something like Smash Bros 6 so they can milk the players long-term.

The best thing I'd personally like to see out of a Direct ? "We're going on Steam.", but it'll never happen. Same with "We're bankrupt."

I'd like to see a Super Princess Peach remaster however controversial it might be. It's definitely my favorite cozy platformer and I play it yearly. I also know it's controversial for the woke crowd.
