Now that the Switch 2 has been announced, will we ever get a Switch (no modchip) jailbreak?

As a proud (not) owner of a V2 Switch, I was wondering if I could jailbreak it and finally get over the 70$ games... trough some methods done by jailbreaking. But anyways, title says all!

Maybe people are holding on to exploits that haven't been patched yet, we will only know after the Switch is EoL.

Well, taking into account all the videogame history, I think that yes, I guess that, in a year, more or less, there is going to be a new exploit for the switch. Once the new console hit the shelves, once the spotlight is upon said console, some months later, there is going to be news.

The best way to get over the price of games is to understand that they're still cheaper than ever historically. An $80 game in 2025 is far more affordable than a $60 game in 2006

I think this all depends on when switch 1 stops getting updates, people are finding exploits left and right but they always get patched immediately :/
