Hi everyone! I’m a solo developer from Brazil, and I’ve just released a new project made in GDevelop 5: Starfish ROOM.
The game is a fast-paced Musou Roguelite with a classic pixel art aesthetic. The story follows Kibo Wave, a transgender catboy chosen to protect the ROOMs after the world fell to alien colonization. It's January 12th, Year 5 of the Cat Planet, and Kibo must now tear through hordes of enemies to save what's left.
Gameplay Features:

  • [] Horde Survival: Face massive waves of alien clones in tight, arena-style combat.
[] Card-Based Progression: Random card drops allow you to choose upgrades and customize your run.
[] The FLOW Mechanic: Manage your combat energy to maintain high-speed attacks and survival.
[] Original Pixel Art & Story: A personal project with a focus on tight controls and retro vibes.

I am currently refining the "Game Feel" and looking for feedback on the difficulty curve and the upgrade system. You can play the current build for free in your browser on Newgrounds.

I’ll be sticking around to hear your thoughts and suggestions! Thank you for checking out
Kibo's journey.
