I have a PS5 console on 12.00 with a few PSN accounts which I have bought games on. I am aware that there is a risk of a console ban if your console is jailbroken and you later decide to update the firmware to connect to PSN, but is it possible to have your account banned as well?

I was reading a previous post "https://gbatemp.net/threads/last-played-backups-on-ps5-are-shown-on-ps-app-account-ban-risk.672869/" where @lufeig mentions last played backups being displayed on the android PS App and was wondering if this is risky.

As far as I know, the current exploit on firmware 12.00 requires SWRR on an activated PSN account. If account ban is a risk, is there a way to transfer a backup of a dummy activated account for this exploit?

As with any console capable of running unsigned code, best practice is not to use an account with purchased content... you just never know, and you assume all risks.

Why have a jailbroken PS5 if you still care about PSN? The 2 cannot co exist on the same console. Updating removes jailbreaking capabilities and if your PSN "somehow" got banned then you were better off with a JB PS5. Get another PS5 solely for PSN and keep the current offline for JB.

Yes. Sony bans your account as well not just the console and it’s not temporary I learned the hard way back in the PS3 days. If you want PSN on a console you want to modify make a spare account. If you have purchased games Sony does not care how much $ you spent there is no appealing the ban.
