If you have an Xbox, DBZ FighterZ is free to keep and I'm downloading already.

I'd prefer to use an SSD on my Xbox One X, but it's not as easy as PS4 Pro so it'll be its HDD.

You can get Dragon Ball FighterZ on XBOX for free but in order to do so you'll probably need an XBOX One or Series console linked to your account.
You need to do the following:
  • Look for Dragon Ball FighterZ for Xbox One (even on Series S/X) in Store app on console or via XBOX phone app (remote features will be necessary as you'll need to install the game as well). Make sure not to select the bundle but do a full title search instead i.e. by entering "Dragon Ball FighterZ" it showed up on my end.
  • Launch the game and choose the upgrade for Xbox Series X/S.
  • Quit the game, restart your console, check your "Owned Games" library and you will see the 2 versions.

P.S.: I'm still installing the game so I can't personally confirm whether this method works or not.

UPDATE: Yep, it works and I've managed to claim the game. At first there was a warning sign on the game title but after upgrading to Series version, the warning sign was removed and both versions of the game were successfully claimed.

Anyway, I also claimed those GOG games and they look beautiful as it brings memories.

Yeah, a One X is still an Xbox One, just more powerful.

You'll need to go through the console store, Subscription, Free to Play, and then you'll see the game there. I thought I'd be out of luck because I don't have an Xbox LIVE subscription (well, Game Pass now), but it truly is for all.

That's where I claimed my copy. :D Just make sure that you open the XBOX One version of them in store, not the bundle. After that, install the game and once you start it, select the option to upgrade it for Series consoles and you should get a pop up that you've successfully claimed it.

Man, the DLC characters cost $5 each or $8 as a pack... If I end up liking the game a lot I'll pirate it on my PS4 Pro and get all DLC for free.

Still, it's awesome to get DBZ FighterZ full game for free on Xbox, it's usually some AI mobile crap given away.

It was a pain in the ass to find the Xbone version for some reason, but it worked. lol
