The problem with this emulator is that it crashes every time it exits.
Not to hijack the thread, but what firmware are you on? The attachment looks like a January build (you're talking about ppsspp, right?), so it might need a re-build with newer libnx changes...

0.7.1 released.
I tried sims urbz with %130 overclock. It's worked. %150 and more probably gives more fps and smooth gameplay but it's enough for long term play.

not really knowledgable on the technical side of this. does anyone know why this is the first time we've been able to run gamecube+wii on HOS instead of android? doesn't seem like it'd be related to performance, 99% of moden pcs can emulate GC really well.

I’m hoping future updates don’t require overclocking. I’m wondering how many games at the moment could use regular clock speed, even if it requires being docked.

Wow, it's awesome to see GCN running on Switch 1 while some were claiming it couldn't run. I mean... Nintendo ported Mario Sunshine GCN to the NS1 and Mario Galaxy 1+2 Wii so they showed us there was something possible.

Thank you so much!

While this is cool it's never going to run full speed so can't help feel the work and effort could better go towards something that actually will be fully functional. Like Sega Model 3 or something.

This is just a little novelty that won't really be usable. Unless the work on it carries over to Switch 2 homebrew in the future or something I guess. Still a cool effort 👍
Maybe it will with more specialized builds and overclocking the Switch.

What do you have it overclocked to? Or are you just using the default overclock that the Tico frontend provides?
It runs slow for me, I’m on switch v1 but I seen how someone made it run smoothly and I’m not doing that. The game at the moment needs to get over clocked but with a number sys-clk doesn’t provide.

I am quite surprised to see GC/Wii games running that well on a Switch 1 in those videos.
Is the Switch 1 overclocked?

Time ago I read HorizonOS homebrew couldn't use Vulkan... so this is done in OpenGL/ES?

Settings for Twilight Princess USA
Tico: 0.7.1
Device: Lite
Overclock: Tico stock
Firmware: 19.0.1
Atmosphere: 1.11.1

If the game's performance drops, that's normal
The solution is to stay in that slow area for 30 seconds to 1 minute to build up the shader cache
Then, exit tico and close the application.
Reopen tico by holding R1 while launching any Switch game
The game will run smoothly again, but when entering or staying in that slow area, do not pause, open the inventory or options, open the overlay/tesla menu, or press the Home button
