Cool translation project! Unfortunately, after my first time booting up the game, it's unplayable. I'm experiencing a major bug that happened after I saved once. Attempting to find the cause, I also tried a new game file
(I have the recommended game version + AP Patch + the latest Translation patch, exactly as the instructions say) AND a new save, but after I loaded this patched game the first time, it won't load normally on following play sessions on nds-bootstrap/Twilight Menu (3DS) ever again.
It locks up at a specific part. I can verify that I did all the steps correctly, but now the game won't let me select my character and proceed. It seems like all user inputs become unrecognized once you get to the character select screen, you can't press A to proceed or B to go back to the previous screen. The game doesn't fully freeze, because all animations still play.
It worked absolutely fine the first time. Maybe it's a nds-bootstrap bug (I'm using real hardware running Twilight Menu) or it's a patch bug. The SAME save file works 100% fine in an NDS emulator. It's very strange and frustrating! I haven't seen anyone here mention this bug (although it's still a pretty short thread here currently, and I don't know how many people have tried the patch on a variety of setups). Would anyone have any ideas on what the solution for this bug could be? I would greatly appreciate help. This may also affect other interested players of this translated game. Given how the same save file works fine on emulators, I'm wondering if something could've possibly gotten corrupted in the files that RUN the .nds file. I tried to reinstall TwilightMenu, but it didn't fix anything either.
