Hi all,

Good day!

Would like to ask for your kind help regarding the issue im encountering.

I recently updated my switch 1 using the latest HATS 112025 file with FW 20.5.0. Everything is good until I tried playing my already installed games. The game boots so slow like 5 mins then in-game everything you do e.g. go to menu takes time to load as well. I tried to download new games and it works fine and gameplay + booting is smooth, it currently affects my installed games before the update.

Do you know of a solution or an easy fix for this? I would hate to delete all of them and re-download them manually (700gb worth of nsps and xcis) since I got them from a tinfoil shop before they went down and there are no new free shops to my knowledge as of the moment.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Update: I tried deleting oprhaned files through DBI -> clearing system cache -> bit archive in hekate
none of them worked unfortunately.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but you can take your 700gb of installed games, and use something like DBI or Spharia to copy the NSP files from your switch to another place. This would avoid the issue where you have to try and re-download games from places that don't exist anymore. You already have the games installed on your switch, no need to download them all again when you can just copy the installed titles, you know what I'm saying?

First, make a backup of your SD card.

Are you using an emummc or are you using the sysnand (internal emmc/nand)?
If you can boot into Hekate, check if your emmc is running in 1 bit mode and also check what the SD card stats are saying,
You can stick your SD card in your PC and try copying stuff to see if you get decent read speeds.
If SD cards are breaking down, you will see a significant drop in read performance.
