Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Xbox Series X with a 2-second shutoff issue.

via Pi Pico): The log reports:
SP

(2): 0007 [SP_RAM_SHUTDOWN]
Shutdown due to memory error.. last code shows which
chip. rerun multiple times or ask on discord, if
no Bank data is decoded.

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

it's exactly what it says, RAM chip failure. You have to look at the code before 0007, which is 9908, and 08 is the RAM chip that reporting an issue
Hi, thanks for your explanation.

So just to confirm — do I need to replace the RAM chip in this case?

Also, I’m not sure about the exact physical location of RAM chip “08” on the board. Could you please provide a diagram or a picture showing where this specific RAM chip is located?

That would really help me identify and troubleshoot it correctly.

It's the chip marked "I" on the picture. Has to be replaced with the same model/RAM taken from a donor board (from the same place). Doesn't guarantee that it will solve your issue, because the error can also be caused by missing or bad components (like resistors, capacitors) around that module that prevent it from communicating properly with APU, or it could be the APU chip itself that is bad

No, thanks change
The ones labeled with the yellow balloon almost all read zero resistance. Is this normal?
