Firmware 22.1.0 released for Switch and Switch 2, features unprecedented levels of stability

A little sooner than expected, Nintendo has released the latest firmware for their Switch and Switch 2 systems. On the surface this appears to be a smaller one, bringing back everybody's favourite patch note.

Patch Notes said:
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

This update comes right on the heels of Atmosphere's latest release, and the advice as always for owners of the original system remains to not update until we know the firmware is either compatible, or an update has been released. Switch 2 users however can enjoy the stability this brings without concern.

So many "stability" and so few themes. FFS Nintendo is it that difficult to add more themes to the systems?
Its nice to have some customizations, I know, but trully, 99% of the time I'm using a Switch is in game, so I can pass the customization stuff, also its a "shared" device for many people and the profile is only choosen when openning a game, or to see more informations about gameplay time, saves, etc... So maybe its made that way to not be a massive pain in the ass to switch themes everytime you turn the screen on? I dunno

But you can change some stuff on a modded system. Freedom is always the best choice :teach:

Lack of fun themes feels so paradoxical from Nintendo when stuff like the Wii and WiiU Menus felt dynamic and personal with stuff like Miis and channel arranging

What happened to the magic?

Switch is becoming more stable than 3ds, and also more than a three leg stood.

Somebody really should tell Nintendo that the general concept of a changelog is to include... Y'know, changes?

Interesting to hear some tangible things have been updated if nothing else.
I remember when the patch notes for a Steam Deck update were just "• Fixed a crash in Doom - The Dark Ages.".
