Homebrew Can't update some apps through FBI or Universal Updater

I'm trying to update Netpass to 2.0 from 1.0.2. However, I try to do it, it fails. I uninstalled it and now it just fails. What can I do to fix this?

Edit: Uninstalled Universal Updater. Netpass is still not installed and it still shows as if it was. I can't install it again.

my main concern is netpass, but the same problem happens with the cod zombies port, though I can live without it.

Why didn't you say so..? Also, what exactly do you mean by "the same problem"?

Is everything else on your 3DS functioning normally?

yes, I can install and update everything else with 0 issues. There's something about the netpass instalation that's wrong.

And why didn't I say that before? Honestly, Idk. I thought it was enough

You were severely mistaken.

Most likely, there is something wrong with your SD card. But first:

What does "it just fails" mean? Are you using FBI? Does it give you an error message? (Wouldn't it be useful to know what that error message is?)

Ok, some updates,I tried again via remote install as I was doing previously, FBI says Installation complete (netpass was uninstalled at this point) and nothing happens, netpass is nowhere to be found. In universal updater there's still the icon to update the app and when I try it just gives me the message "Netpass.cia Failed!".

Now, I realize I may be an idiot, as I installed it as a CIA via fbi, it worked.

In some other news, I also have a new 2ds xl. I turned it on just now after 2 years at least. It's the same issue, except I haven't uninstalled it there yet. I'm going to try updating it via CIA when it finishes charging.

Edit: Before anyone thinks this, I swear this is not a joke post. I suck at being detailed.
