Working on a fan translation for Culdcept 3DS (2012) which is a remake of the PS2 Culdcept game with balance changes.
Claude AI managed to crack the custom compression that game uses for RomFS, which is used for card text and story elements among others with a lot of GDB sessions. UI strings are in code.bin. It has also being used to replace strings in about everything and to recompress to RomFS so the game is compatible with it again.
Card names are the English names used in games copied over their Japanese slot and card descriptions have already been translated by Culdcept Central so those will be used. Everything else such as UI strings is AI translated. I'd prefer the story to be translated by humans however it isn't essential to playing the game.
There are some space limitations so far - causing the truncation of card names/descriptions and UI elements, hopefully this can be solved for card elements eventually UI I'm not so sure...
