Very odd question, but I'm simply curious on if there's any way to determine when a Switch 2 was manufactured. Not for an actual helpful reason minus maaayyyybe determining the battery health of a Switch 2 when purchased (which wouldn't exactly work anyway, 99% of Switch 2's we can pretty much guarantee have at least 98% battery health when purchased).

So far, I know that some Switch 2 models that were made in China have a copyright date of 2024 according to one Reddit post, but that models made in Vietnam do not - as I noted with my Switch 2 (which I got last month) and a friend's Switch 2 (which he got at launch). I checked literally everything that came with the console and found no copyright years or any little hints of when my Switch 2 was made, only that because it was made in Vietnam that it was made in at least mid April 2025.

Is anyone else even remotely as interested in this as I am or am I chasing a goose that doesn't even exist yet?

The European models will soon have more easily removed batteries, so that’ll be a manufacturing time marker. Suspect you already thought of that though.
Those will probably be marketed as "V2" models.

Replaceable batteries sounds great, but not enough of a reason for me to upgrade.
