Hacking NSMBW Mod ISO Builder v1.00

I would like to create wbfs of some of the mods that have riivolution xml but in order to use it with this tool a plugin (.PLG) is needed. Is there a tutorial anywhere or does someone know how to create one? I have viewed some of the plugins included in this tool but there are various patch types that probably need to be applied for it to work correctly. Any help or a nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @Ditto_Link My family and I have reached the end of SuperStar and have found one last crash. It happens while loading the final level in World 9. Bowser's castle. The crash is similar to what happened with 2-1 Sweet Cakes. It loads the level name screen and hangs. No stop error. Any ideas? We really want to defeat Bowser ;)

Do you mean you enter Bowser's Palace in co-op mode?

EDIT: I replaced the MapHUD_SMSS from dittolinks patch file with the maphud from super luigi superstar and renamed it to MapHUD_SMSS and rebuilt and the issue did not resolve.

What game do you get black screen?

No,MapHUD_SMSS.arc only bypass freeze after loading save data.

Your issue may caused by bad dump of NSMBW,I never got any freeze on die /return to world map with 1:1 clean dump.

Thanks! Ill investigate more and edit this post if I resolve. I find it strange that return to world map is fine on all the other worlds except for world 9.

It was indeed a bad dump. Thank you for offering your expertise. Problem solved!

Played through SuperStar and you were right. 1 Player worked to beat the final level. Thanks again.

New problem. I built Option #21 Newer Super Mario Bros. 2. V1.10 The 3rd level in the 1st world, 'Beehive Treetower' cant be beat. The screen wont follow any player (Single or Multi) to the top of the screen where you enter the boss door. So, you cant beat the level and move on in the map. Do you know anything about this?

Edit. Using a PAL NSMBW Iso and V1.10 Gets me past the hangup mentioned above.

As you have I'm sure seen, I've been out of the scene for quite a while, but just decided to hop back on and say hi. I'm glad to see that @Ditto_Link has been supporting the project, honestly beyond what my ability would have allowed.

Ditto, if you want me to host a version on the old link, just let me know. I believe I can give you write access to that section to continually update the (now archaic) permalink, etc. We can discuss in comments DMs.

It looks like your native characterset isn't latin-1, so it comes out very strange indeed. But the looks shouldn't hurt functionality.

I’ve decided to pick up the mantle again. This time I’m moving toward a cross-platform design targeting Windows (Batch), Linux/Unix (Bash), and the browser via a Node.js runtime engine.

This will be a port of the current community v1.07 with full feature parity. No new features, just a faithful continuation.

Before I proceed further, I wanted to gauge whether there’s still a community interested in this project, or if it’s mostly a personal continuation at this point.

TL;DR: v1.08 in progress (Node.js-based cross-platform port). Any interest still out there?
