A controller for your thoughts - win a free controller!

It's around that time of the year I try to be a more productive person, and with that comes the question of where that productivity should be directed. Courtesy of @AKNES I have a controller to give away, with the winner being able to pick from 8BitDo's Ultimate 2C (Bluetooth or Wireless), GuliKit's ES Pro, Elves 2, or Elves 2 Pro, or EasySMX's D05. On top of this, the administration have also decided to give three lucky runner ups a year of GBAtemp patronage, complete with ad-free perks! So what am I asking of you for a chance to win any of these lovely things?

The criteria is simple. You'll need to have been a member before this thread went live. If you're reading this as a lurker, I encourage you to sign up and join in with the larger community. You might not be able to join this giveaway, but there'll be more down the line. For those already here though, you'll just need to reply to this thread, and your reply will need the following information:
  • An upcoming game you're looking forward to
  • Your favourite ROM hack
  • A cool bit of gaming tech you own or are interested in
If you can manage that much, you'll have your shot at the prizes! It might all seem a bit random, but it's handy to check in every so often to see where interests currently lie. If we see there's big interest in a given game, we might go more out of our way to post smaller updates or trailers as they release. If a ROM hack has a bunch of recommendations, we might take a bit of time to feature or review it. It's all good to know.

You'll have a week to enter, with entries closing Friday the 27th of March at 8pm in the UK. I'll pop a threadmark down to make it clear where the cut-off is, and announce the winners on Sunday the 29th of March. All winners will be both tagged and DM'd, so feel free to turn off notifications for this post after putting your reply down.

A big thanks to @AKNES for supplying the choice of controller for giveaway. If you're interested in joining their Discord community where they run their own giveaways alongside providing customer support for the various things they sell, you can find a link below.

I was shown a reel for a 3-in-1 gaming console prototype created by Xiao Ningxi, that could play games from the Play Station 5, Switch 2, and XBox Series X. There's a button on top that lets you swap between consoles to play from. I thought it was pretty neat.

Thanks for doing this giveaway!

Hello everyone. Here's my entry for the giveaway.

An upcoming game you're looking forward to:
I don't really keep up with gaming news but the two I was looking forward to this year was RE9 and GTA VI. Since RE9 already came out, only GTA VI remains. Hopefully no more delays.
Your favourite ROM hack:
Pretty much every ROM translation hacks. Without them, wouldn't be able to enjoy those Japanese exclusive games.
A cool bit of gaming tech you own or are interested in:
I have a limited edition Vita and 3DS. A bit of a hoarder so I can't find them right now but I think it's the Soul Sacrifice and MH4U edition. I hope one day I'll be able to add the Steam Deck to my collection.

That's all from me. Good luck everyone!

Howdy folks, thanks for the patience! The winners have been drawn!

For the choice of controller, we have @Maq47!

And for the three winners of the ad-free GBAtemp viewing for a year, we have:
I'll contact @Maq47 via DM to sort out the controller prize, and @shaunj66 should hopefully be able to apply the Patron perks directly to the other winners' accounts.

Thanks again everybidy, and keep an eye on the front page over the next few months if you have any interest in some video game tournaments with ~prizes~

Thanks guys. I wasn't even expecting to win! Means a lot and thanks as well as congrats to the other winners.

Oh my goodness! I'm so happy. This is only the third giveaway I've won in my many years of being here. The last prize I won was the Switch OLED in August of 2021 ( Winning announcement ), and before that, I won third prize in the third 2019 Tempmas event (Winning post ; Winning announcement ; I was called MarcusCarter back then; the mention on the page links to this account, however). I've been on this site quite a while. Time flies, really.
