After much anticipation, The Pokemon Company have today announced the latest entries to the core Pokemon series: Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves. Set to launch globally in 2027 on the Nintendo Switch 2, the trailer premiered as the finale to today's Pokemon Presents presentation celebrating the series' 30 year anniversary. In the short trailer, we got our first glimpse of the games' new region, as well as the Pokemon you'll be able to pick to journey with you: Browt, Gecqua, and Pombon.

Based on the trailer, the games appear to feature a much fuller open world than their predecessors Scarlet and Violet, including underwater exploration for the first time since Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. With the tenth generation of Pokemon set to kick off next year, we can expect more details to follow in the coming months.

I wonder how much hand holdinh there will be in this game.
Also, I saw a bunch of streamer bootlicking TPC, and god... it was so painful.
One of them told me, rpersonally replying to my comment "if it's going to be crap, trust me, TPC won't bother to hide it, they would tell us if it's going to be crap" but when I told them "Pokemon Legends Z-A was a lie. The trailer tells us to climb from rank Z to rank A, but you jump directly from rank V to rank F, cutting the length of the game by more than half. Isn't that a lie?" And he never replyed back.
That's just painful to see how many fanboy there still are and how many are ready to pay full price for these POS because "nOStAlGai"

As someone who goes through phases of ignoring Pokemon followed by phases of intense addiction, I'm waiting until every Pokemon can be transferred into one of these games before I even consider jumping back in.

Between transferring from older games, 2016 GameStop mythical distributions, and Pokemon GO (including GO fest events) I have a ~99% complete living dex in Pokémon HOME that caps at Gen 8. But knowing that even today not every Pokemon is transferrable into a main game just makes the phrase "Catch 'em all" pointless.

Fix that issue, and I'll once again become a blind follower of all things GameFreak.

I mean Pokémon Champions does plan to sorta address this, letting you use all 1000+ Pokémon in the game

It's funny how every gen people claim the new Pokémon look fanmade lol
it's just how we see it at first. i remember when the Sword/Shield starters were shown off for the first time and it felt strange seeing them for the first time and later just got used to seeing them everywhere as the newer games came out.
