I took some time to clean up NitroGrafx, graphical glitches should now be almost gone.
  • Fixed unscaled & aspect scaling.
  • Fixed setting of vertical scroll value.
  • Fixed horizontal centring of screen.
  • Fixed sound amplitude/envelope.
  • Fixed timer counting.
  • Fixed sprite DMA.
  • Fixed save states.
  • Added descrambling of US ROMs.
  • Added new debug menu.
  • Better menu traversing.
  • Cleaned up code.
There are still a couple of (card) games that have problems, I haven't looked into the CD games yet.

Very impressive. Can't wait to hear the sound quality improve.

On dsi/internal SD , I only encountered 2 hucard problematics games
fighting run (known issue): glitchy sprites with palette issue (too many bitplanes)
yo bro : garbled background and sprites

and sometimes after several loading the emulator stall
+
there is some remaining pixels staying around after loading games it's like oled marks....

Could there be an option to get the 'avenue pad 3'
that got bundled with the duo a few games have a function mapped to start button, final match tennis where the lob is actually start, there's also forgotten world's rotation button.

Well, thank you! I was waiting for this update, Indeed background scalling are fixed now.
However scaled to fit display method may be improved a bit with relation to sprites positions.
It's a matter of few pixels on vertical scaling, noticable in compare to other modes in example of stage of bomberman '93.
It seems like sprites have own a little bit streched longer virtual matrix in this mode, than visible scaled background.

The lower sprite is the difference is bigger.

I didn't really spend much time on scaled to fit since sprites can't be scaled in many steps, but I will make sure the position of the sprites is "correct" compared to the background. The Avenue Pad 3, isn't that just that the Run or Select button is also on another button? So maybe just better button remapping?

Hey chief, if and when you have time, you could perhaps take a look at that damn adpcm and the CD games that use it. Perhaps then, God willing, we could finally enjoy fully titles like Sailor Moon, YS IV, Galaxy Yuna, Private Eye Doll, and other masterpieces of the time, on the DSi. Anyway, thanks for everything. 😊

yeah indeed, 'run' closer to the I&II buttons, it's often chosen, like in bloody wolf ( grenade, hop on vehicle), and speed select in shooters
they duplicate the start button for the DUO pad to face the megadrive 3buttons+start layout.
that's minor issue.

i found the 5th level in aero blaster glitching because of the added bitplane i suppose,
here is my save state for you to check out.

going through all HUcards, it's a blast

Dunno if it's intentional but if scaled 1:1 , Y offset can't be set
Valkyrie Adventure - some glitches

Altered beast garbled sprites and foreground on level 2 .

I didn't think of setting the Y offset in unscaled mode since you have L + R buttons but I can see how that is still useful. Thanks for the testing. The glitch in Altered Beast looks weird, have you tried the Rom in another emulator? Might be a bug in my sprite cache handling though...

False alert , Sorry ! No bug in your cache handling, that was my rom or SD card that got corrupted along the way.
Tried that in magicEngine, same result.
