He’s asking if the battery can be replaced with a holder. I’d rather these things came with a holder instead of a battery. So I second this motion. It’s a great QoL improvement considering my GB Jr. came DoA. If it had a non-replaceable battery like the SCFW 1.5 I’d be pissed to have to solder a replacement upon receiving it, considering I just want to use it right away. Just ordered a ChisFlash RTC 1.1 after loving the 1.2 Rumble. I will to do a holder upgrade. Would be nice if it came standard.

SuperChris would have been a funny name - reminds me of the "Chris" from Zelda A link to the past on super nintendo :)

I did the same (got a 1.2 and loved it, so I got a 1.1 too) and the latter came with a CR1616 holder.
 
crossing my fingers hoping mine has the updated holder too. Thanks for the shining ray of hope. I maybe won't have to power on my soldering iron and the fumes...the fumes lol.
 
Hi All! Can someone please explain how to use the DS Mode? I've copied BOOT.NDS and _NDS to may SUPERCARD but my DS only starts in GBA mode, do I need to do anything else to get it to work? Thanks!

You need to use a Passme card, a slot-1 flashcart who's firmware has passme functionality, or just flash your DS with Flashme. These are the only options to boot slot-2 in DS mode.

Don't worry, the standby current is 70~100nA, which means that the battery can last for more than 80 years without taking self-discharge into account, and even if you take self-discharge into account, that's a long, long, long time.

Those probably are different versions of the earlier ChisFlash, which uses flash memory for ROM storage, instead of the microSD card of the SuperChis.
