Honestly that is the weirdest part for me lol
I would expect a more severe treatment, specially with such a unique stunt in a touristic area but nope

I get a bigger fine than for misdemeanours like spitting on the floor or parking tickets.
Maybe it's the standard fine for throwing stuff into the river. Dunno, seems weird.

I'm sorry, remind me again what happened back in June?
Getty Images A protester holds a sign reading: ICE: Out Of Our Communities as burning Waymo cars line the street on 8 June 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

I find it very funny y'all are immediately escalating this by blaming to the right-wing when it wasn't mentioned at all here

The goal of this post is to show what not to do when doing an environmental protest

You proved his point 👇

Which is why they still continue doing this if everyone has given up giving a shit

48 hours and 130 euros. That's not a punishment, it's just a price tag. (or whatever the quote was)

You think they be more effective to target sites of mass industrialization or political decision making, but instead would rather target cultural/ historical sites. They could choose to target more appropriate places yet continue to choose not to.

Let me ask you this, what correlation does throwing soup at the Mona Lisa have to the air pollution?

Look. I am going to be dead honest.

Your image looks like it was ai generated. Or really poorly photoshopped.

First you have the amount of smoke that should be a problem for the guy supposedly protesting.
You have just one guy, when normally it's in groups. There is a smeary mess to whatever is to the left of him. then we got questions of the camera man, since he is also in danger of the severe smoke around them.

I believe in waymo cars being burned down, that was an event, and that was because of them giving data to ice.
But your specific image is at best an artistic rendering. Worst, straight lying.

I’m beginning to doubt you’re even a real Doctor of microbiology. I would refute your claims, but I’d just be googling stuff I had no prior knowledge of.
Why would a Doctor spend their time here?

The earth is to far gone to do anything about it. That also counts for Thunberg
Just hoping that the next bacteria surviving, after the end, will evolve into something better

Oh what a surprise Venetians would rather ban Greta (and tourists) rather than admitting their city is way overrated and collapsing.

What an absolutely mental, and false, thing to say.

At the very least, humanity should strive to do good, as futile as it may seem.

I want to believe there is at least some sort of honestly in this pieces of activism, even if that makes me naive

The pride of trying to do better may be the only thing that we will take to the grave

Source for that one?
Probably his phone. As in, he just saved all the images he didn't like, so he can hate send them later.

Here's the real issue.
Corporations have the permission to do "legal" vandalism. Even if it means literally killing us and the eco system.

Spying and tracking people for these corporations is also "legal"

Wouldn't it be really convient if they had some brainwashed fools, who mistook "legal" as ethical. And anybody who tried to either take a very loud stand against it, or did an action in the short term caused temporary harm, said they couldn't do that because it's not in the "law"

Because in their view, the literal destruction of property, is more important than the people who are at risk, more important than human lives, and the quality of them.

Proving pollution by causing pollution? Now that's some next level shit :rofl2:

People sticking themselves to random walls would at least make for some good soil
