Hmm.. Ep 6, not much going around, a few emotional moments in the middle (with Joel)..
And they changed the circumstances that led to Joel getting stabbed/hit, i think i prefer it over how they did it in the game, him falling from a 2nd floor level height into a iron rod (bit unrealistic) , explains why they changed it.. They also moved the stabbing area to the right abit (not the stomach area).
Next ep will be all Ellie, it's got to be interesting..

The only difference (or lack thereof) I care about is the ending.
The original ending is trash.

Okay, yes, Episode 7 was accurate to the DLC, but come on, that to me was a pretty damn boring and uninteresting episode.

I just wanted to see more of Joel and Ellie together through their journey.

Well that's because the source material (the DLC) was boring to begin with.
They cut some scenes when Ellie was by herself scavenging and looking for meds (for Joel), i liked that bit, they skipped it in order to focus on the relationship between Ellie & her "friend", in this one episode..

Totally..
In the other hand the 8th episode was pretty good imo. Even though they also cut some scenes in before and after Joel was hit (the time jump), and when she was waiting with David, for his friend to return.. in the game they moved & defended against alot of inflected (wasted opportunity imo)..
The 2nd half of the episode was very good, specially the moment whe she started stabbing David repeatedly..
Post automatically merged:

One of the complaints i have so far is that there isn't much "action", with the infected specifically, they reduced the encounters with them to the bare minimum which is a huge issue since that's what this story is all about, surviving and trying not to get infected/killed..
They could've taken another road with "stealth", when they mainy characters have to avoid the infected as much as possible, giving it a suspense or a survival horror type experience (we got a glimpse of that 2nd episode)..
9 eps was a tad short to fit the whole game's story/narrative, all things considered.. not sure if they'll wrap everything up next episode or what..

Episode 8 was really good, almost like something that could happen in real life (that'd make me really sick and angry).

My only criticism is that I wish this season had more episodes because I really enjoyed it a lot!

I'll be rewatching episode 8 'cause it goes beyond zombies, it's evil living humans which is far worse.

Now that the dust has settled, I think we can all agree that the show was on par with the first game, but let's not over-inflate their quality like the rest of popular media does: they're both 8/10, nothing more, nothing less...

As for the sequel, it remains poorly written, poorly structured, and devoid of meaning. The fact that the main writer said that he "doesn't care" what the audience thinks of it doesn't remedy that fact one bit. N. Druckman really thinks far too highly of his writing skills and it's a real shame that sites like IGN keep on slapping 10s when "reviewing" his work.

It makes no sense.
