    Followed these instructions and the game won't boot on the Wii U. For now, I think I'll settle with the menus being off centered and the actual gameplay being in widescreen.

    You're my hero. Turns out when I initially edited the file, the changes kept typing over the characters. When I typed in the "J", it typed over the "@" and messed everything up. It's working perfectly now. Thank you!
