    i have similar problem and resolved it for now by winding back the date. try changing to 2010 and reboot. worked for me on an r4i from r4i-gold.com (dont know what type of clone mine is!! ) ps my firmware is V1.62b

    Hi guys. Have an R4i gold card, states R4i-gold.com on the card. (this is where i get my firmware from) Had no problems up until a couple of weeks ago. I updated the firmware as i periodically do, to V1.61b and it worked on the latest roms that it previously hadnt worked on, all good there...

    thought it was an original, used all the original FW's, but dunno. whats the best way to tell? completely formatted card and reloaded 1.12 from the link provided, same problem. is it a fake card?

    Hi trying to install wood v1.06 on a r4 card. just getting a black top screen with "Loading..." and nothing happens. have used other versions of wood and they worked ok. any ideas?!!? also, whats the differnece between wood1.06 and wood rpg 1.06? thanks in advance

    but if its the cart that has died, then why wont a another one work? have tried another working R4 AND a working TTDS. also, the R4 cart fires up in another DS???

    i HAVE tried a different cart/card combo trhat i know works, but that still doesnt read it either. i think it must be a hardware fault on the ds

    when i turn on the ds with the flash cart inserted, it just comes up as if there is no cartidge in the ds. (the screen with the pictochat and ds download boxes) and states no game card inserted

    yes, cart been tried in other ds and works fine. working cart has been tried in this one and still doesnt read it. also tried a ttds cart with no success. papertrick?

    Hi. a friend has a problem with her DS. using an R4 card with no problems for months, then she thinks her son may have taken out the card when the game was switched on. now, the DS wont read the flash cart (or any other working flash cart) BUT will read original DS games. any clues...
