    Nice work. I was a little surprised VBA GX didn't run fullspeed on the GameCube when I tried it, I figured that it was more than powerful enough. Lack of JIT certainly explains a lot.

    I don't think the 3D adds anything, but the extra detail on the battle screen is neat. I think there're mods for some other generations that add situational battle backgrounds but I'm not aware of any for Gen 1-2, this might be the closest thing.

    If you know somebody IRL with a Switch (2) you can add your account to it and use the local save data transfer feature. I'm not sure if it works Switch 2 -> Switch 1 though (even if it does, obviously you can't transfer Switch 2 only game saves to a Switch 1)
