Hacking No video when running games through Swiss

Ok, I downloaded Four Swords NTSC-U and so far it seems to be working perfectly (except for a bit of slowdown occasionally, but hopefully that's because I'm using a crappy old SD card). So it looks like NTSC consoles, or at least NTSC-J ones, can't play PAL games.

aww ok thanks for that so in other words, if I download some ntsc-u games, they should most likely work fine, its just pal ones that won't?

Hacking No video when running games through Swiss

hmm, I changed my Wii to 480i, but still have the same issue. The bottom of Swiss says "480p" regardless of what I set in the Wii settings. How do I change Swiss to use 480i? I have a NTSC-J Wii and am using PAL games.

Hacking No video when running games through Swiss

I got an SD Gecko today to play Gamecube backups on my Wii. I run Swiss 0.1 r33 from HBC, and it finds the games on my SD card. But when I start one, I get no picture at all (TV says no signal). I can still hear the sound from the game, and can press buttons on the controller to do stuff. So...

Gaming WARNING: Ban wave has started, STAY AWAY FROM LIVE!

What actually determines if your console gets flagged, other than being modded? I have an old version of iXtreme (around 1.4 I think) and have NEVER played a game online - legit or pirated. I have connected to Live a few times to download updates, or game trailers. Would my console still be...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Are there any known issues with running Super Mario Galaxy under USB Loader GX? I get a black screen when trying to start it (NTSC-U game on a NTSC-J console). However funnily enough, it runs and works fine if I use the load from USB option in Neo Gamma. Are there some settings that I need to...

    Hacking Korean mii channel WAD

I've just region changed my Wii to 3.3k, but the Mii channel is still in English. From what I've read, there is a completely separate Mii channel that Korean Wiis use (channel title is HACK). Where can I get a WAD to install it? It was hard enough just finding the 3.3k WADs...

Gaming So what do you think of FFIV so far

I think it's great so far. My only criticism is the whole "get a reward for revealing the whole map" thing which seems to almost negate the need to buy things from potion shops. One of the very first caves gave me a reward of 3 tents which from memory is actually quite valuable that early in the...

    Gaming Warlords DS

Is this game still being made or have they given up? The only information that I can find about it is a couple of screenshots which were released about a year ago. I was really looking forward to it - it basically looked like a handheld version of Warlords II

Is that actually meant to be a vagina on it, or is it just a coincidence?
