I took C++ and Java courses in High School. I also took another two C++ courses and a course where I learned, html, javascript, pearl in College. Then when I needed then I learned C#, C, PHP, python and ARM/thumb on my own by reading books and other's code.
Yes, you are missing alot. Sigh. People think Pokesav is some all powerful, all accomplishing program.
Anyways, Dr. Killa, you can use PPRE to do that. I assume you meant for HG/SS since you mentioned route 1. If you mean for DP you can use one of D-Trogh's programs for that.
Not sure if you looked at the WAH link. There are some ancient tools made by people at PC(e.g., PokeSpam, thethethethe). D-trogh made better versions of alot of those (not all though) and I made a better trainer editor. Not sure if we can count the old PPRE and the new as two different programs...
A pokemon save fits in 256KB. The 512KB save has two slots. The backup mechanism works perfectly with 512KB. Is there a sav extractor that will extract a 1MB from the cartridge?
I think you guys should just leave them alone. If I was making a translation I would work on my own. Its not like these translation take any real hacking ability. If that was the case I would say join forces because it makes it easier. But all they are doing is using an easy to use program. They...
Seems to me you did not read the first post.
Anyways, to the OP:
The way GBA games work is very different than GBA (as in their structure). I don't really know what it would take to make such a program. But its probably not worth it (too much time when there are other solutions already).
Just wanted to add, I know of at least 5 teams (counting this one) who are using thenewpoketext to translate HG/SS. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
They are using thenewpoketext. It makes it so that almost anyone can "translate" a game. They won't have such software for other games. So don't count on there being other projects.
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
