    format 6 doesnt help, probably doesnt touch the update information on another partition - which i'd like to wipe. 4.55 reinstall doesnt take.

    paid less than 90. But if i completely wipe the HDD externally, all partitions, then wouldnt it start from scratch with the current firmware?

    ive just bought it and he said it was on 4.55 . its asking for a 4.73 or later update on usb, i can try and find a 4.55 update. wouldnt a format work too?

    Is there any way 1) to remove the 4.73 update process to go back to 4.55 or failing that 2) to get 4.73 to install (update pup link as sony doesnt have it anymore) I have another jailbroken 4.55 so i could swap the drives if that would help thanks

    The download is a zip file containing an EXE. How does this get installed on an Xbox? Please dont say run it as a) its from a random download site, and b) we dont all run windows.
