I like the fact that you guys always open the cart and take a photo of the inner workings, but you only posted one side of the chip though.
Good review!
So what do I think about GBATemp?
In my case it's a friendly place where you can go to read about everything you need to know about your DS troubles, legal or not. If there's anything you don't understand, it's easy to ask, and most of the times you get an accurate answer. My favorite part is...
Since the DSi have its own SD slot, shouldn't it be possible just to flash the DSi firmware to load stuff from the SD slot? I mean, if someone manages to do that, do we really need to use a specific slot 1 card to play games? It will require some kind of hardware to flash the firmware, but when...
I'm really disappointed that the DS and DS Lite doesn't support WPA. I mean, it should have at least have been added in DS Lite.
At least Nintendo has realised it in time for DSi.
Awesome!
My case is broken (yep, the hinge) since a while back, and since I don't have any warranty I can't ask nintendo to replace it.
I haven't bothered to fix it since it broke, but this might give me the strength!!
Thanks!
Try compiling it for yourself and see it the same thing happens.
We can't say the other binary is safe since we didn't compile it, but I can't see any reason for n45800 to be that evil
I suppose the promise for full speed on *any* game using *any* SD card justifies the removal of the NAND memory and the USB port.
But what I don't get is the closed source.
I guess the magic full speed thingie is all done in software and they want to protect the trade secret and try to get...
Pics or it didn't happen!!
Seriously though, if an anonymous user has done this, then that person can release an anonymous video with the proof of concept.
With the recent opening of the public AceKard RPG subversion server, the author should work with them to integrate his code with the official release.
Great work!
I got a suggestion.
You know the country flags? It would be VERY nice if they would have a tooltip with the name of the country.
I've found myself checking the image filename for which country a person is from on several occasions, would be nice if this could be helped in a clean and nice way...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
