    GUYS THANKS TO ALL, BUT I FIXED IT. I did what BlackAce83 said, and it updated to 4.1 with NSMB!!! Really, really thanks for all the help, you guys helped my wii come back to life! ;D

    Hardware Wii DVD drive not spinning

    Thanks all, I fixed it!!! I opened up the wii and noticed that it missed a black tape that holds up the laser, so I used tape and now it reads ;D

    DVD not spinning video The Wii DVD drive doesn't spin, but does accept and ejects discs, I opened it up and found that the laser moves awkwardly and its movements are the ones causing the "clack clack clack" noise, so I recorded it to see if anyone could help. I never got any "can't read discs"...

    I had sent my wii for repair, but the guys there didn't knew how to repair the brick my wii had. I now know how to reapir the wii, but I need to load discs and apparently the guys from the repair shop messed up my drive :/ The problem is: I can load and eject discs, but there's no spinning...

    Well, I don't know if I installed IOS60... I did update from 3.4U to 4.0U via Waninkoko firmware updater, don't know if that has anything to do?

    I read all the posts. No wasted efforts Thanks for the help BlackAce83 and DeadlyFoez, I have hope again that I'll be able to use my Wii. I'll try using NSMB and tell you what happens (but first I need to have a retail disc >_>)

    I DON'T have a modchip, I onle did softmods. Also, I tried the SaveMiiFrii, and my system menu is 4.0U. I tried loading some of the original games I have, but nothing happened. What I haven't tried is entering recovery mode and using an original game disk that has a system update of 4.1U/4.2U...

    I haven't checked trying recovery mode... Can I inject bootmii as boot2 even if the homebrew channel doesn't load? And the guy I sent it to was pretty vague. He told me he tried to reinstall the operating system, but it didn't work and he was sure it was a hardware failure... but I'm pretty sure...
