    I am having troubles running starcraft itself, it says I need the CD to run it, and when I do use a hacked version it won't connect to battle.net because of an error not related to CD keys. Suggestions?

    I believe brand does matter, and if HP is willing to screw over thousands of customers then they are willing to screw over anyone else who purchases their laptops. I had a very similar incident to cruddybuddy with a tx1000.

    Doing a bit of a plug for Gamekool, I ordered something from them last Thursday and got it Monday. Everything there and working, and it only cost me $4 for shipping for a $12 card and memory card. Good experiences with them so far.

    Unlimited Detail: To replace polygons in the near future?

    One problem I could see is that it will still take time to make things in the game, so if a developer wanted to make an unlimited game may spend months just working on a tree. If it takes longer to make a tree for example with this new system than developers will be reluctant to switch.
