    Homebrew Snes9xGX-Mushroom

I was using version 1.0.7, but updated it just in case and the banding persists. Toggling the crosshair on and off doesn't seem to do anything.

    Homebrew Snes9xGX-Mushroom

Hi guys. I've already left a comment about this in the noobie question section, but I decided to comment again here hoping that anyone can help me out. Here goes: When using Snes9x TX, I notice diagonal banding in Earthbound and compositve video artifacts in some games – especially around text...

    Hacking QUICK/NEWBIE QUESTIONS here!

Does anyone know whether it's possible to disable the trap filter that is enabled by default in the Snes9x TX and FCEU TX emulators? I generally prefer the unfiltered look over the filtered one, specifically in Earthbound, where it's possible to see horizontally-scrolling diagonal strips against...

Issues when trying to connect a second Wiimote to my Wii

Hi! While I'm inside the System Menu or an official game, pressing any button on a second controller disconnects all Wiimotes and renders them useless until I reset the console. The only way I can connect more than one Wiimote while in-game is by using the home menu sync method, and if a...

Homebrew What are the best emulators to use on the Wii in 2021?

Here are my two cents based on what I use: Atari 2600: Stella RA. Haven't tried alternatives, but I haven't had any problems with this emulator. NES: FCEUX TX. It supports light gun games, has seemingly less input lag than Nestopia/FCEUMM RA (seems easier to time jumps and control Mario midair...

    Homebrew mGBA vs. emGBA

Interesting, I didn't know this. I've been using emGBA thinking the performance was the same in the two emulators, but after trying Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride in both, I can confirm it performs better in mGBA. That means I'll be using mGBA from now on, even though I'll be missing the filter that...

Homebrew Sega System 16 emulation on the Wii

The amount of MAME cores available for Wii made the idea of using them intimidating, but I just tried them and I'm happy to report that Alien Syndrome works flawlessly with mame03_plus_coreD. Thank you for your answers, I'm looking forward to finding out what other games work better with MAME...

Homebrew Sega System 16 emulation on the Wii

Hey! Does anyone know if it's possible to play the original arcade versions of Sega games like Alien Syndrome and Cotton on the Wii at full speed? I've tried the fb_alpha core included with SuperrSonic's build of RetroArch to run those games, but the performance leaves something to be desired.

Gaming Display problem with Wii when using component cables

@nikkuchan: It's a similar problem. I can actually see something, but the colors are wrong. I quit from getting it to work, though. I don't have a NTSC copy of the game, so I guess there is no solution for my problem. Thank you for your answer anyway.

Gaming Display problem with Wii when using component cables

Thanks for answering, guys! @Heran Bago: I'm sure the cables are plugged correctly, the problem is most likely the TV. I got a Xbox 360 hooked to this TV for 3 months. The component cables had a switch that allowed me to to switch between TV and HDTV. When it was set to TV instead of HDTV, I...

Gaming Display problem with Wii when using component cables

Hi folks. I'm new here. So, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. Anyway, here is the problem: I play Wii on a 42' Samsung plasma TV (don't know what model it is, it was bought about 4 years ago and it is an european model). I use component cables, and I have already set the display to...
